Twice a year we get a ridiculous group of women together for Girl’s Weekend. It usually ends up being in Leavenworth, WA. But when one of your people moves to San Diego, you have to reevaluate locations. It wasn’t a tough decision.
Basically, I started hiking solo because I wanted to get into hiking and my friends were either too busy (we have totally different schedules) or they were just uninterested. But it was something I wanted to do, so screw everyone else.
I had been wanting to head to Cherry Creek Falls for quite a while, but I had read some not-so-great reviews about the conditions. They were completely wrong.
