After a whirlwind trip through four islands, it was time to head back to the mainland.
We were warned at the beginning of this trip that our final island was going to be the party island. It did not disappoint.
When Santorini popped up as one of the islands on this trip, I was so excited! I mean, it’s a dream destination, right? Yes and No.
From Mykonos we hopped on another ferry bright and early and headed to Paros. I can’t remember the name of the hostel we stayed at, but it was run by a foul mouthed Scottish woman. So needless to say, we I think we picked the best spot.
I remember exactly how the idea came up. A friend and I were talking over drinks and he mentioned wanting to go to the Bahamas (or something) in the spring. I nonchalantly said “I’m thinking about island hopping in Greece for 2 weeks, want to do that instead?” And off we went.
When I decided to go to Italy on my first trip abroad in 2012, I knew that I would fall in love with it instantly. This was going to be my first real solo travel experience. I don’t know why I thought 4 days would be anywhere near enough time. It wasn’t.
